Early memories with my father in the yard and garden began a passion for horticulture. The art of bonsai came into my life when my children presented one to me. You probably already know the feeling....I was "hooked" for life.

With the receiving of that first bonsai, the search was initiated for more information. It led to research involving reading, classes, and seminars with bonsai artists. Along with other bonsai enthusiasts, I realize there is more to learn, absorb, and accomplish. Our Bonsai Care page provides an idea of my personal bonsai philosophies along with condensed care tips.

Jan (we married in 1952) and I enjoy tending our trees and meeting new and past friends in our full-service bonsai nursery. I have personally designed and potted each of our bonsai, and both of us maintain them while they are on display and available for sale. When a bonsai is ordered on our website, the same tree in the photo is sent, not a look-alike. All of the trees exhibited on our website are right here at the nursery.

You, as a bonsai enthusiast, can obtain supplies and nursery stock (pre-bonsai) necessary to create your individual designs. Bill has chosen each of the hundreds of pre-bonsai trees that are in our nursery in preparation to become bonsai.
